Functional Capacity Evaluation

Functional Capacity Evaluation to Return to Work

Portera Rehabilitation provides Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE). An FCE is a set of tests, practices and observations that are combined to determine a person’s ability to return to work and can be a determining factor in whether a person is granted disability.

An FCE can last from 4 hours to 8 hours and can last from one day to multiple days depending on the severity of the case.

An FCE can also determine;
  • Job Placement
  • Worksite modification
  • Reasonable Accommodations
  • Permanent Disability**
